Delaware State Falls 86-85 to Howard - Recap
Jelani Williams scored 19 points leading Howard to a 86-85 victory over Delaware State at Memorial Hall on Saturday.
Marcus Dockery had 14 points for Howard and Shy Odom chipped in with 13 points. Elijah Hawkins had 6 assists for them, while Jelani Williams was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 12 boards.
Delaware State got 24 points from O'Koye Parker in a losing cause and another 17 points from Martaz Robinson. Corey Perkins contributed 6 assists for them, while Brandon Stone had 7 rebounds.
Howard led at halftime, 31-29.
Howard had a 43-34 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Howard takes its act home to face Maryland-Eastern Shore looking for another win. For Delaware State, they head on the road to face Norfolk State.
