Alcorn State got 15 points from Oddyst Walker and another 12 points from Jeremiah Kendall. Byron Joshua contributed 8 assists, while Ladarius Marshall cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Bethune-Cookman got 18 points from Kevin Davis in a losing cause and another 17 points from Joe French. Zion Harmon contributed 9 assists for them, while Marcus Garrett had 8 rebounds.
Alcorn State was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Alcorn State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 41-35.
