UMass-Lowell got 18 points from Allin Blunt en route to a 80-65 victory over Vermont on Wednesday at Costello Athletic Center.
UMass-Lowell got 18 points from Ayinde Hikim and another 17 points from Everette Hammond. Ayinde Hikim contributed 7 assists, while Allin Blunt cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
Vermont got a 16-point performance from Robin Duncan, who was supported by 14 points from Matt Veretto. Dylan Penn had 5 assists in a losing cause for Vermont, while Robin Duncan grabbed 7 rebounds.
UMass-Lowell was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UMass-Lowell had a 38-24 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, UMass-Lowell takes its act on the road to face Binghamton looking for another win. For Vermont, they head home to face Maine.
