Ball State Defeats Eastern Michigan 91-90 - Recap

Ball State got a 22-point performance from Payton Sparks, who added 15 rebounds as Ball State ran past Eastern Michigan 91-90 on Friday at John E. Worthen Arena.

Ball State won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -10.5-point spread.

Jarron Coleman had 18 points for Ball State and Jaylin Sellers chipped in with 17 points. Demarius Jacobs had 8 assists for them, while Payton Sparks was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 15 boards.

Eastern Michigan got 35 points from Emoni Bates in a losing cause and another 18 points from Tyson Acuff. Tyson Acuff contributed 2 assists for them, while Noah Farrakhan had 6 rebounds.

Ball State trailed at halftime, 40-38.

Ball State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-29.

Next game, Ball State takes its act on the road to face Central Michigan looking for another win. For Eastern Michigan, they head on the road to face Buffalo.
