Jordan Walker scored 22 points leading UAB to a 79-66 victory over UTEP at Don Haskins Center on Thursday.
UAB was a favorite by -6.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors.
UAB got 13 points from Ledarrius Brewer and another 11 points from Ty Brewer. Eric Gaines contributed 6 assists, while Javian Davis cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
UTEP got 16 points from Ze'Rik Onyema in a losing cause and another 13 points from Calvin Solomon. Shamar Givance contributed 5 assists for them, while Otis Frazier III had 5 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed UAB were victorious, as the score was 36-35 at the break.
UAB had a 32-23 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, UAB takes its act on the road to face UTSA looking for another win. For UTEP, they head home to face North Texas.
