Florida International Falls 76-72 to UAB - Recap
Trey Jemison scored 12 points leading UAB to a 76-72 victory over Florida International at Bartow Arena on Saturday.
UAB won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -15.5-point spread.
Ledarrius Brewer had 12 points for UAB and Jordan Walker chipped in with 12 points. Eric Gaines had 8 assists for them, while Trey Jemison was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Florida International got a 22-point performance from Denver Jones, who was supported by 20 points from Mohamed Sanogo. Arturo Dean had 6 assists in a losing cause for Florida International, while Mohamed Sanogo grabbed 7 rebounds.
UAB was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UAB had a 42-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, UAB takes its act on the road to face North Texas looking for another win. For Florida International, they head home to face Louisiana Tech.
