BYU Falls 75-74 Against Gonzaga - Game Recap
Gonzaga grabbed a 75-74 win over BYU on Thursday, behind a 19-point effort from Drew Timme at Marriott Center.
Gonzaga did not, however, defeat BYU against the spread, which closed at -6.5 at most sportsbooks.
Gonzaga got 18 points from Anton Watson and another 11 points from Julian Strawther. Rasir Bolton contributed 5 assists, while Drew Timme cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
BYU got 18 points from Spencer Johnson in a losing cause and another 17 points from Gideon George. Rudi Williams contributed 8 assists for them, while Fousseyni Traore had 9 rebounds.
Gonzaga led at halftime, 44-40.
Gonzaga had a 45-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Gonzaga takes its act home to face Portland looking for another win. For BYU, they head home to face Pepperdine.
