The battle between Eastern Illinois and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Saint Mary-of-the-Woods was handed a 102-40 defeat on Monday at Lantz Arena.
Eastern Illinois got 19 points from Kyle Carlesimo and another 17 points from Cameron Haffner. Yaakema Rose Jr. contributed 6 assists, while Kyle Carlesimo cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods got 9 points from Braden Edington in a losing cause and another 8 points from Davin Miller. Shermar Moss contributed 2 assists for them, while Keith Germain had 6 rebounds.
Eastern Illinois was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Eastern Illinois won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 47-34.
