Recap - Texas Defeats Rice 87-81
Rice was burned for 28 points by Marcus Carr on Monday as Texas picked up a 87-81 win at Moody Center.
Texas won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -24.0-point spread.
Timmy Allen had 15 points for Texas and Dillon Mitchell chipped in with 12 points. Sir'Jabari Rice had 4 assists for them, while Brock Cunningham was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Rice got a 28-point performance from Quincy Olivari, who was supported by 19 points from Travis Evee. Max Fiedler had 7 assists in a losing cause for Rice, while Max Fiedler grabbed 8 rebounds.
Texas was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
