Recap - Texas Defeats Creighton 72-67
Texas got 19 points from Marcus Carr as they ran past Creighton 72-67 on Thursday at Moody Center.
Texas did not, however, defeat Creighton against the spread, which closed at -7.0 at most sportsbooks.
Texas got 15 points from Tyrese Hunter and another 11 points from Timmy Allen. Marcus Carr contributed 5 assists, while Timmy Allen cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Creighton got 20 points from Ryan Kalkbrenner in a losing cause and another 17 points from Ryan Nembhard. Ryan Nembhard contributed 6 assists for them, while Ryan Kalkbrenner had 13 rebounds.
Texas was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Creighton had a 40-37 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Texas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Illinois. Creighton will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Nebraska.
