Recap - Marquette Defeats Chicago State 82-68
Marquette grabbed a 82-68 win over Chicago State on Saturday, behind a 18-point effort from Olivier-Maxence Prosper at Fiserv Forum.
Marquette did not, however, defeat Chicago State against the spread, which closed at -27.5 at most sportsbooks.
Kam Jones had 15 points for Marquette and Oso Ighodaro chipped in with 13 points. Tyler Kolek had 8 assists for them, while Olivier-Maxence Prosper was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Chicago State got 18 points from Wesley Cardet Jr. in a losing cause and another 11 points from Jahsean Corbett. Deshawn Jean-Charles contributed 4 assists for them, while Jahsean Corbett had 12 rebounds.
Marquette was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Marquette heads into a battle against Baylor. Chicago State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Bethune-Cookman.
