Belmont Defeats Eastern Illinois 90-56 - Recap
The battle between Belmont and Eastern Illinois didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Eastern Illinois was handed a 90-56 defeat on Monday at Lantz Arena.
Belmont won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -25.5-point spread as favorites.
Belmont got 15 points from Ben Sheppard and another 13 points from JaCobi Wood. JaCobi Wood contributed 8 assists, while JaCobi Wood cleaned the glass with 5 rebounds.
Eastern Illinois got a 20-point performance from Paul Bizimana, who was supported by 17 points from Kashawn Charles. Kejuan Clements had 5 assists in a losing cause for Eastern Illinois, while Dan Luers grabbed 6 rebounds.
Belmont was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
