Towson vs Kent State Final: 73-58 - Recap
Towson grabbed a 73-58 win over Kent State on Monday, behind a 22-point effort from Nicolas Timberlake at Memorial A & C Center.
Towson won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +6.5-point spread as underdogs.
Towson got 18 points from Antonio Rizzuto and another 11 points from Jason Gibson. Cam Holden contributed 10 assists, while Cam Holden cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Kent State got a 17-point performance from Sincere Carry, who was supported by 16 points from Giovanni Santiago. Sincere Carry had 5 assists in a losing cause for Kent State, while Malique Jacobs grabbed 5 rebounds.
Towson was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Towson had a 36-22 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Towson takes its act on the road to face Ohio State looking for another win. For Kent State, they head home to face Detroit.
