The battle between Louisiana-Lafayette and West Florida didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as West Florida was handed a 81-47 defeat on Tuesday at Cajun Dome.
Louisiana-Lafayette got 14 points from Jordan Brown and another 12 points from Kobe Julien. Jordan Brown contributed 4 assists, while Isaiah Richards cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
West Florida got 10 points from Darrin Jenkins in a losing cause and another 9 points from Daniel Sofield. Brandon Burford contributed 2 assists for them, while LaTrell Tate had 7 rebounds.
Louisiana-Lafayette was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Louisiana-Lafayette won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 46-34.
