Louisville grabbed a 72-60 win over Southern on Tuesday, behind a 16-point effort from Noah Locke at KFC Yum! Center.
Matt Cross had 15 points for Louisville and Samuell Williamson chipped in with 14 points. Jarrod West had 5 assists for them, while Samuell Williamson was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 14 boards.
Southern got 17 points from Brion Whitley in a losing cause and another 11 points from Tyrone Lyons. Jayden Saddler contributed 4 assists for them, while Damien Sears had 14 rebounds.
Louisville was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Louisville had a 50-34 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Louisville takes its act home to face Furman looking for another win. For Southern, they head on the road to face Tulane.
