Recap - Texas Defeats West Virginia 82-81

Texas got 26 points and 10 rebounds from Timmy Allen en route to a 82-81 victory over West Virginia on Saturday at WVU Coliseum.

Texas did not, however, defeat West Virginia against the spread, which closed at -3.5 at most sportsbooks.

Texas got 15 points from Marcus Carr and another 14 points from Jase Febres. Timmy Allen contributed 3 assists, while Timmy Allen cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.

West Virginia got 27 points from Malik Curry in a losing cause and another 13 points from Taz Sherman. Gabe Osabuohien contributed 3 assists for them, while Isaiah Cottrell had 6 rebounds.

First-half bettors who backed Texas were victorious, as the score was 43-38 at the break.

Texas won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 28-17.

Texas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Baylor. West Virginia will aim to get back on the winning track at Oklahoma.
