Belmont vs Eastern Illinois Final: 81-57 - Recap
The battle between Belmont and Eastern Illinois didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Eastern Illinois was handed a 81-57 defeat on Thursday at Curb Event Center.
Belmont did not, however, defeat Eastern Illinois against the spread, which closed at -27.0 at most sportsbooks.
Belmont got 20 points from Nick Muszynski and another 16 points from Ben Sheppard. Grayson Murphy contributed 11 assists, while JaCobi Wood cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Eastern Illinois got 15 points from Kashawn Charles in a losing cause and another 13 points from Sammy Friday IV. Kejuan Clements contributed 4 assists for them, while Rodolfo Rufino Bolis had 5 rebounds.

Belmont had a 31-23 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
