Dixie State Defeats Cal Baptist 79-76 - Recap
Cal Baptist was burned for 26 points by Cameron Gooden on Wednesday as Dixie State picked up a 79-76 win at CBU Events Center.
Dixie State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +7.0-point spread as underdogs.
Hunter Schofield had 16 points for Dixie State and Dancell Leter chipped in with 12 points. Dancell Leter had 4 assists for them, while Hunter Schofield was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Cal Baptist got 23 points from Daniel Akin in a losing cause and another 16 points from Ty Rowell. Ty Rowell contributed 6 assists for them, while Daniel Akin had 11 rebounds.
Cal Baptist won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 37-36.
Dixie State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Seattle. Cal Baptist will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Utah Valley.
