West Virginia vs Kansas State Final: 71-68 - Recap

West Virginia got a 26-point performance from Sean McNeil as they ran past Kansas State 71-68 on Saturday at WVU Coliseum.

West Virginia did not, however, defeat Kansas State against the spread, which closed at -9.0 at most sportsbooks.

Taz Sherman had 14 points for West Virginia and Kedrian Johnson chipped in with 11 points. Kedrian Johnson had 3 assists for them, while Gabe Osabuohien was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 12 boards.

Kansas State got 20 points from Nijel Pack in a losing cause and another 14 points from Mark Smith. Markquis Nowell contributed 10 assists for them, while Mark Smith had 8 rebounds.

West Virginia trailed at halftime, 40-28.

Kansas State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 37-36.

West Virginia heads into a battle against Oklahoma State. Kansas State, meanwhile, will have their next action against TCU.
