The battle between Iowa State and Southeastern Louisiana didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Southeastern Louisiana was handed a 77-54 defeat on Sunday at James H. Hilton Coliseum.
Iowa State got 20 points from Caleb Grill and another 17 points from Izaiah Brockington. Tyrese Hunter contributed 6 assists, while Izaiah Brockington cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Southeastern Louisiana got 13 points from Gus Okafor in a losing cause and another 9 points from Ryan Burkhardt. Keon Clergeot contributed 6 assists for them, while Gus Okafor had 8 rebounds.
Iowa State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Iowa State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 29-22.
