Chattanooga Defeats Lipscomb 85-64 - Recap
The battle between Chattanooga and Lipscomb didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Lipscomb was handed a 85-64 defeat on Sunday at Allen Arena.
Chattanooga got 27 points from Malachi Smith and another 24 points from David Jean-Baptiste. Malachi Smith contributed 7 assists, while Darius Banks cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Lipscomb got 23 points from Jacob Ognacevic in a losing cause and another 12 points from Greg Jones. KJ Johnson contributed 3 assists for them, while Parker Hazen had 8 rebounds.
Chattanooga led at halftime, 38-19.
Chattanooga had a 44-22 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Chattanooga looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UNC Asheville. Lipscomb will aim to get back on the winning track at Miami.
