Monmouth Hawks vs Charlotte 49ers Recap - Charlotte Wins 68-66
Charlotte got 20 points from Clyde Trapp Jr. en route to a 68-66 victory over Monmouth on Tuesday at Dale F. Halton Arena.
Charlotte did not, however, defeat Monmouth against the spread, which closed at -5.5 at most sportsbooks.
Charlotte got 14 points from Jahmir Young and another 11 points from Aly Khalifa. Luka Vasic contributed 3 assists, while Jahmir Young cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Monmouth got a 23-point performance from Walker Miller, who was supported by 18 points from Shavar Reynolds Jr.. Shavar Reynolds Jr. had 4 assists in a losing cause for Monmouth, while George Papas grabbed 10 rebounds.
Charlotte was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Monmouth won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 37-26.
Next game, Charlotte takes its act home to face USC Upstate looking for another win. For Monmouth, they head on the road to face Towson.
