BYU vs Portland Final: 105-60 - Recap

The battle between BYU and Portland didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Portland was handed a 105-60 defeat on Thursday at Earle A. Chiles Center.

Bettors who backed BYU were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as a favorite of -18.5 at sportsbooks.

BYU got 19 points from Gideon George and another 15 points from Brandon Averette. Brandon Averette contributed 5 assists, while Gideon George cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.

Portland got a 17-point performance from Eddie Davis, who was supported by 11 points from Ahmed Ali. Hayden Curtiss had 4 assists in a losing cause for Portland, while Quincy Ferebee grabbed 2 rebounds.

BYU led at halftime, 52-31.

BYU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 45-11.

BYU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Gonzaga. Portland will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Pepperdine.
