Coppin State Falls 85-65 to Iona - Recap
Iona blew out Coppin State on Wednesday, running up the score in a 85-65 win at Hynes Athletics Center.
Isaiah Ross had 28 points for Iona and Asante Gist chipped in with 24 points. Asante Gist had 5 assists for them, while Nelly Junior Joseph was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 12 boards.
Coppin State got 18 points from Kyle Cardaci in a losing cause and another 17 points from Koby Thomas. Kaelon Harkema contributed 4 assists for them, while Dwaine Jones, Jr. had 7 rebounds.
Iona was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Iona won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 49-22.
Iona looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Towson. Coppin State will aim to get back on the winning track at Towson.
