Maui Invitational - Davidson Defeats UNLV 77-73 - Recap
Kellan Grady scored 22 points leading Davidson to a 77-73 victory over UNLV at Harrah's Cherokee Center on Wednesday.
Davidson did not, however, defeat UNLV against the spread, which closed at -6.5 at most sportsbooks.
Hyunjung Lee had 21 points for Davidson and Carter Collins chipped in with 18 points. Kellan Grady had 3 assists for them, while Hyunjung Lee was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 6 boards.
UNLV got a 27-point performance from Bryce Hamilton, who was supported by 18 points from David Jenkins Jr.. Bryce Hamilton had 4 assists in a losing cause for UNLV, while Cheikh Mbacke Diong grabbed 6 rebounds.
Davidson was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Davidson won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-23.
Davidson looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Georgia Southern. UNLV will aim to get back on the winning track at Kansas State.
