The battle between Merrimack and Central Connecticut State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Central Connecticut State was handed a 72-52 defeat on Friday at William H. Detrick Gymnasium.
Merrimack got 15 points from Mikey Watkins and another 15 points from Ziggy Reid. Mikey Watkins contributed 6 assists, while Ziggy Reid cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Central Connecticut State got 14 points from Tre Mitchell in a losing cause and another 11 points from Greg Outlaw. Nigel Scantlebury contributed 5 assists for them, while Greg Outlaw had 5 rebounds.
