Gonzaga Defeats Portland 116-88 - Recap
Portland was run off the court by Gonzaga on Saturday as they blasted them 116-88 at Earle A. Chiles Center.
Gonzaga earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -32.5-point spread.
Drew Timme had 26 points for Gonzaga and Anton Watson chipped in with 23 points. Joel Ayayi had 14 assists for them, while Joel Ayayi was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 13 boards.
Portland got 19 points from Ahmed Ali in a losing cause and another 13 points from Zac Triplett. Chase Adams contributed 7 assists for them, while Clythus Griffith had 6 rebounds.
Gonzaga led at halftime, 56-36.
Gonzaga won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 41-25.
Next game, Gonzaga takes its act home to face Pepperdine looking for another win. For Portland, they head home to face San Francisco.
