Recap - North Carolina State Defeats Pittsburgh 77-73
North Carolina State earned a 77-73 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday, getting 16 points from C.J. Bryce at PNC Arena.
North Carolina State did not, however, defeat Pittsburgh against the spread, which closed at -8.5 at most sportsbooks.
Jericole Hellems had 16 points for North Carolina State and D.J. Funderburk chipped in with 14 points. Markell Johnson had 6 assists for them, while Manny Bates was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Pittsburgh got 24 points from Au'Diese Toney in a losing cause and another 13 points from Xavier Johnson. Trey McGowens contributed 5 assists for them, while Eric Hamilton had 9 rebounds.
North Carolina State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-28.
North Carolina State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Duke. Pittsburgh will aim to get back on the winning track at Georgia Tech.
