Notre Dame Downs Marshall 74-64 - Match Report

John Mooney scored 28 points and chipped in with 16 rebounds for Notre Dame on Friday, leading them to a 74-64 victory over Marshall at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.

Notre Dame earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -19.0-point spread.

Notre Dame got 15 points from T.J. Gibbs and another 11 points from Dane Goodwin. Prentiss Hubb contributed 4 assists, while John Mooney cleaned the glass with 16 rebounds.

Marshall got 16 points from Taevion Kinsey in a losing cause and another 14 points from Jarrod West. Taevion Kinsey contributed 5 assists for them, while Taevion Kinsey had 11 rebounds.

Notre Dame was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Notre Dame won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 50-40.

Notre Dame looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Presbyterian. Marshall will aim to get back on the winning track vs. College of Charleston.
