Xavier Defeats Siena 81-63 - Recap
Xavier grabbed a 81-63 win over Siena on Friday, behind a 20-point effort from Naji Marshall at Cintas Center.
Xavier did not, however, defeat Siena against the spread, which closed at -19.0 at most sportsbooks.
Xavier got 20 points from Tyrique Jones and another 9 points from Jason Carter. Naji Marshall contributed 7 assists, while Naji Marshall cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Siena got 19 points from Elijah Burns in a losing cause and another 18 points from Jalen Pickett. Jordan King contributed 3 assists for them, while Manny Camper had 7 rebounds.
Xavier was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Xavier won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-33.
Next game, Xavier takes its act home to face Missouri looking for another win. For Siena, they head home to face St. Bonaventure.
