Washington Falls 23-21 to Panthers - Recap
The Panthers grabbed a Pre-Season Week 1 victory over the Commanders on Saturday, winning 23-21 at FedEx Field.

Jonathan Williams rushed for 31 yards for Washington, while Brian Robinson Jr. added 26 yards. Carson Wentz threw for 74 yards for the Commanders, while receivers Alex Erickson and Dax Milne had 56 and 30 yards respectively.
Carolina lost the offensive yardage battle to Washington 350-288 yards in Saturday's game. Washington had more first downs as that total ended up 23-20.
Washington led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:12-28:48 split in that important category.
Next game, Carolina takes its act on the road to face New England looking for another win. For Washington, they head on the road to face Kansas City.
